What do I do if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
Please contact your therapist by phone or email to let them know as soon as possible. There is a $25.00 charge for appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. There is a $100.00 charge for not showing up to an appointment without notice. Please call in advance if you need to change your appointment time.
How will I know if my insurance covers mental health services?
You can call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card or go online and check with your insurance company. We would be happy to assist you if you would like.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.
What is Play Therapy?
American Play Therapy Association defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development."
What is Sensorimotor Psychotherapy?
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy takes into account cognitive, emotional, and sensorimotor processing that occurs. Sensorimotor processing is the capacity to process through the body and is the primary focus of this therapeutic model.
